Susan over at "Stony River" hosts Microfiction Monday. The idea is to use Susan's picture she posts
then compose a story up to and including characters, punctuation marks,
etc adding up to 140.
Let's hear it for Trellissimo's "woberfully"! Clearly it means "wonderfully woebegone" and exactly suits the last three lines of the great limerick here. Now then . . I think the 143 chars (Hey! Who's working the Word "Count" tool!) can be reduced to 140 by simply taking "he" out of the last line. That releases 2 letters and a space without altering the sense hardly at all and the rhythm very little. That'll be $20.50, please, MartyrMom. (No checks)
Great limerick!
ReplyDeleteAbout where I figured I'd end up!! Great one for the day!

ReplyDelete*sniff-sniffs* Is that Da-roo Stew?! Let me get my spoon!
ReplyDeleteHa! Remind to not wear blue!
ReplyDeleteStanding ovation for attempting this with a limerick!
ReplyDeleteHaha! And I thought having to add turnip to my stew was bad! Thanks for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week. Cheers.
Too bad about the 143, but a fun limerick.
